GREAT TRIBULATION

by Tony Alamo

The first part of one of the many visions I have received from the Lord was glorious, yet, at the same time, mysterious. I was young in the Lord and strong spiritually and physically. I saw a very steep mountain, and I was briskly walking up it as if it were nothing hard to do. It was a beautiful day, blue sky, a real beautiful, peaceful summer day. (I’ve written an entire message regarding this vision. Its title is Difficult Mountain). At first, I was the only one in the vision, but the vision widened and I saw my wife, Susie, who was ill, walking quite a way back from me, very slowly, with her arms at her side. I turned back to help her. When I got to her, I put my right arm around her waist, and both of us proceeded up the mountain. Then all at once everything turned gray, then black. Fierce winds began blowing against us. They came down from the top of the mountain, then the vision became so dark, it was very hard to climb. It became dark as night.

Every so often there was a gray spot for less than a second where I could see us really struggling as we continued up this very steep mountain. Two or three times I was pushing Susie; I could see that I was worn out because I was on one knee.

I was pretty young in the Lord at that time, and I wasn’t aware of the meaning of the vision, but it was for sure very “hard times were going to come.” I knew this, but I never had the full meaning of it, or how the hard times would come, and when. I knew that God had a very special call on my life because I was being whipped into shape very quickly. I had so many supernatural experiences, visions, dreams, signs, and wonders. There were jealous, ungodly churches attacking us and imitating our international TV program. There were attacks from federal and state government agencies, local sheriffs’ and police departments, the media, and false brethren betrayers, and there were satanic manifestations of many other kinds. Susie was able to teach me all these things: she had many supernatural experiences all of her life. She had seen Jesus when she was a little girl, and was healed from tuberculosis by Jesus, which she had contracted from her father. She was the wisest person I’ve ever known, and the Godliest. She also, at one time, was a reporter with the Los Angeles Examiner newspaper, and she worked for the Paul Coats TV program (a controversial program). Susie and I were married seventeen years, until her death.

During her sickness, every demon in Hell and in the air was attacking both her and me up until the day she died. They have intensified against me since she went on to be with the Lord.

My attorneys have checked my background. They discovered that I have been in forty-four major court cases and have won them all, except for the IRS case, in which I was railroaded. After I served four years in prison and six months in a “halfway house,” it was proven that I was innocent. However, “Memphis, Tennessee,” Judge McCalla will not give me a clean slate to exonerate me. It is a matter of record that they, the prosecuting attorney and the judge, hid my ledgers, but they won’t clear my name. Chris Belcher was the prosecutor from Washington, D.C., that did this evil deed. McCalla went along with it. He had to go to anger management school. My attorney said that he either threatened to hit a lawyer or did hit him, and used profanity to him.

One night in our Los Angeles church, outside it was a beautiful night. Five minutes before the time for the service, there was no breeze. The weather was perfect. The Lord spoke to me as I was admiring a huge oak tree on the church property. God told me, “You’re going to have to be hundreds of millions of times stronger than that tree.” I said, “How could that be? I would be happy to be as strong as that tree.” The church was packed. Services are at 8 P.M. every night, and 3 P.M. and 8 P.M. every Sunday.

Behind the pulpit I relayed exactly what the Lord told me. Everybody laughed. Just then, at that moment, there was a huge crash, and the church building shook as if it were an earthquake. Several people looked out of the windows, then looked at me and said, “It’s the tree!!” It had come up by the roots.

Why would I have to be hundreds of millions of times stronger than that tree? It’s because the tree, without my knowing it, was dead! If you’ve followed my ministry over the years, you know why!!

I’m so glad, so thankful God put me with a wife that really knew God and all the ways of God and how the ministry works. God has warned me many times that we would go through tribulations, “the great tribulations.”1 Jesus said so. He’s never said He would take us out of the tribulations, but He did say that immediately ‘after’ the tribulations He would return (Matt. 24:29).2 Jesus stated, “Immediately ‘after’ the tribulation of those days [the last days] shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from Heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the SON OF MAN in Heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the SON OF MAN coming in the clouds of Heaven [in His glorified, translated human body, the glorified same human body that died on the cross, was buried, resurrected, ascended, and was translated]3 with power and great glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of Heaven to the other” (Matt. 24:29-31).

In the book of Acts, after the Apostles returned to Lystra, and to Iconium, and to Antioch (Acts 14:21-22), “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we [real Christians] must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God.”

When preachers, pastors, deacons, and witnesses don’t teach their people about tribulations, that they will be here, they will never prepare themselves for the tribulations, and they will fall away from the Lord in shock when the tribulations come. God wants you to believe the gospel so that you may enter Heaven. Nothing is to be eliminated.4

Jesus said in John 16:32-33: “Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave Me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Romans 5:3-5 says, “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.” Romans 8:35-39 says, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God” (II Cor. 1:3-4). “Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation” (II Cor. 7:4).

As for those who are part or members of the Great Whore (the Vatican false prophet, the whole false church system, its beastly world government that it controls, and the media, its mouth), “Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds” (Rev. 2:22).

At this late date, believe me. I can teach lessons on persecutions and tribulations. When you look at my life, you will be able to tell how close we are to the end of time.

I really know about the mountain vision and the words spoken to me by the Lord about that huge oak tree which fell only minutes after the Lord gave me that prophecy.

One night I was sitting on my bed, and Susie was sleeping—the room was pitch-black. A stick of vapour formed. It was around three feet high and made a hissing sound when it entered the room. It was in the air about five feet from the floor. It began hissing again, and formed itself into an oval shaped mirror with a gold frame. In the mirror was the Lord sitting on a beautiful purple (velvet) chair-throne with gold trim. The Lord was extremely handsome. I thought He was going to let me go to Heaven, but He put His hand out and said, “Not yet.” It was extremely disappointing. His voice when He was talking to me was in spurts, not intelligible. He was letting me know that I wasn’t hearing much from Him, or seeking Him through reading His Word. It was a warning. If we don’t read His Word, we won’t have knowledge of Him and we will perish. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge [of Him]” (Hosea 4:6). This made me read and really know the Lord. You may know Him, too. Don’t listen to the false prophets. Read the King James Version Bible for yourself. Say this prayer to God. Lord Bless you. Write or call me if you have questions:

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying yourself, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourself and do what the Word says, so that the Church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God's Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
